This past weekend was such a riot. Spent in Victoria, BC, I hung out with a couple of friends (duskybeans and danica), two friends of a friend, 6 cameras and a cat whom I am sure I must have bothered greatly. I went over to take photographs of the Pride Parade since I wanted to see how the pros do it. Unfortunately, everyone disappeared and in waiting for the parade to start I had the most incredible blond moment and decided "oh hey, it's a good time for a haircut". So a little poorer and about 30 minutes later I walk outside the salon with no more split ends... to realize that the tail of the parade just passed me by.

Damn, really bright, well done, brilliant, just a real star aren't we, and I end having to rocket, with camera in hand, half a km to catch up with the parade. Once in awhile I fancy myself an action packed photographer and it certainly fit the bill: nothing like the idea of blasting across the city dodging tourists, strollers, elderly folk and dogs on long leashes just to get a frame. Yo bro, it fits the definition of "adventure traveller/photographer" eh? rah rah!

I did get the shots and quite a few. The better ones have already been posted to shashin

Aside from that, I got rather drunk on no more than 2 pints of beer... at Swiss Chalet. Yeah, I'm a real lightweight, but I was also drinking on an empty stomach... hey, why not. If the point of drinking is to get drunk, getting there on fewer and cheaper wins!

Ok, I'll stop here before I put up any more incriminating stuff on me.
